DRAFT, NEEDS COUNSEL REVIEW. Not in effect. Do not publish until counsel approves and Jared says go.

Effective date: [Effective date]

This page explains what Utah County Furnace Repair (utahcountyfurnacerepair.com) collects when you use the site, why, and who sees it. We kept it short and plain.

Who we are

Utah County Furnace Repair is a free referral service for homeowners. It is run by Full Docket ([Full Docket legal entity name]). We are not a heating company. When you send a request, we pass it to one local heating company that Full Docket works with.

What we collect

From the request form, only what you type in:

  • ZIP code (required)
  • Phone number (required)
  • Name (optional)
  • Email (optional)
  • The type of furnace help you pick (optional)
  • Notes about the problem (optional)
  • Whether you checked the consent box

Automatically, when you send a request: the date and time, your IP address, your browser and device type, the page you sent it from, and an exact copy of the consent wording you saw. We keep these as a record that you asked to be contacted.

When you browse the site: like most websites, our hosting keeps basic server logs (IP address, pages requested, browser type, time). We may also use basic site analytics, such as [analytics provider, e.g. Google Analytics], which uses cookies to count visits and see which pages help people. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them.

Why we collect it

  • To pass your request to one local heating company so they can contact you.
  • To contact you about your request ourselves, if needed.
  • To keep a record of your consent.
  • To block spam, fake requests, and abuse.
  • To see which pages are useful and fix the ones that aren’t.
  • To bill the heating company for the referral and settle any billing disputes.

Who we share it with

We share your request with one local heating company, and that company pays Full Docket for the referral. That is how this site makes money, and it’s why the service is free for you. Each request goes to one company only. We don’t pass it to several companies, and we don’t sell your information to data brokers or anyone else.

We also share information with:

  • Full Docket staff who review requests.
  • Service providers that run the site for us, such as hosting, email delivery, and analytics. They may use it only to provide that service.
  • Authorities, if the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety or our legal rights.

Once the heating company has your request, it also has its own copy and its own privacy practices. Ask that company directly about how it handles your information.

How you may be contacted

When you check the consent box, you agree that Utah County Furnace Repair and Full Docket or a local heating company it works with may contact you by email or phone about your request. Calls may use automated technology or prerecorded messages. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.

How to stop contact

  • Tell the caller to stop calling.
  • Reply to any email from us asking us to stop.
  • Or tell us through the request form and we’ll stop, and we’ll pass your request on to the heating company that got your referral.

How long we keep it

We keep request and consent records for [retention period, counsel to confirm; draft assumes up to 5 years for consent and billing records], so we can show you asked to be contacted and settle billing questions. Server logs and analytics data are kept for the provider’s standard period. When we no longer need records, we delete them.

Seeing, fixing, or deleting your information

Use the request form to ask what we have about you, to correct it, or to delete it. We may need to confirm it’s you first. We may keep a short record that you asked us to stop or delete, so we don’t contact you again, and anything the law requires us to keep.

Utah residents: if you live in Utah, you can use the same email to ask what we have, to ask us to delete it, or to opt out of having it shared. We’ll answer within [response time, counsel to confirm].

Keeping it safe

We take reasonable steps to protect what you send us, such as encrypted connections and limited staff access. No website or email system is perfectly secure, so please don’t put sensitive details like card or account numbers in the notes box.

Children

This site is for adults arranging home repairs. You must be 18 or older to send a request. We don’t knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child sent us a request, tell us through the request form and we’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update the effective date at the top. If a change affects how we share requests, we’ll say so clearly on this page.
